HANAUMA BAY

Our 8:00 class had an afternoon field trip to Hanauma Bay last Friday.

The students had a great time snorkeling.  They found all sorts of sea creatures along the reef.

Hanauma Bay, just nine miles from Waikiki, is a snorkeler’s paradise. Tucked inside an ancient volcanic crater that opens to the vast Pacific Ocean, this sparkling crescent-shaped bay encompasses a magnificent marine environment.

Walking down the big hill to the beach gave us a great view of the bay!

Students were Educated by Ms. Anne about ocean safety, rules, and marine life.

Pumped up for snorkeling!

Students were joined by TA's and lifeguard, Erik, to ensure safety.

A student spotted a giant crab on the rocks!

There were tons of colorful fish swimming around the coral.
